Anyway-here's the award:
This award originated with Dan King over at Management by God, who states, "Mathetes is the Greek word for disciple, and the role of the disciple (per the Great Commission) is to make more disciples. The role of a disciple of Christ is to carry His message to the ends of the earth. It is with this heart that I have created the Mathetes Award."Those who receive it are to pass it on to other disciples who are sharing the good news in their own bloggity ways.Here are the rules: Winners of this award to pass this on to five other "disciples". As you pass it on, I just ask that you mention and provide links for(1)the originator of the award (Dan King of management by God), (2) the person that awarded it to you, and then (3) name the sites of those you believe are fulfilling the role of a disciple of Christ.

Thanks so much!!! You are so sweet. Now, I'm wondering if two of your boys helped jumpstart our old rattle-trap van when it wouldn't start. I was pregnant with two little ones at the time and these wonderful boys spent about 30 minutes getting the van started for me. I remember praying for them all the way home! We do have a lot in common--we are just beginning our homeschooling adventures (and failing miserably at the moment!) and live in Cville. I'm not sure, either, how to display the award, but if I figure it out, I'll let you know. Blessings on you and yours tonight!

ReplyDeleteTo transfer the award into your post, just go to my blog, highlight what you want of my post by holding down the left mouse button while you move the arrow over what you want. You let go of the mouse button when you've highlighted what you want. Then you move the arrow up to the top toolbar and click "Edit". A drop down menu will appear. Click "Copy". The highlighted portion is now copied. You go to your own "Create new post" page of your blog. Put your cursor in the box. Move the arrow up and click "Edit" again. Then click "Paste" from the drop down menu. The part you copied from my blog should now be there. Manipulate it in your own create post page as you wish.
To put an award in your side bar, right click on the picture. From the menu that appears, click "Save image as". Save it to your desktop and name it what you want. Like "award picture'. Then go to your customize blog page. Click "add picture". When it asks you for an image from your computer, click "browse", then find the item on your desktop. Click on it, then click "Add". It should appear. This is confusing, I'm sure. Find me at church or call me and I'll explain it further!
