Jesus' Saving Grace

Along with "Salvation" as in "Eternal Life", here's a list of 11 things Jesus has either saved me from, or is the processing of saving me from:
(Just in case you're interested)

1. bitterness

2. not respecting my husband

3. gluttony

4. death by drowning in the Colorado River and death from an ectopic pregnancy

5. idolatry

6. temporary insanity and panic attacks

7. self-pity

8. fear

9. a very strong will that demanded my own way

10. feelings of purposelessness

11. not seeing the importance of being in the Word every single day

Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Christ Jesus.
Phil. 1:6

  1. Neat!
    Thanks for sharing this.
Like Pastor Warren keeps reminding us: we have an Overcomer! Through Christ, the ultimate Overcomer, we can overcome the sin in our daily lives.
    My list would start with
"Jesus has saved me and is saving me and will keep on saving me from:
    ME!"
After that, there are still other things, such as external circumstances He has miraculously kept me safe in.
But most of all, the biggest hills that I am overcoming start with M and end in E.
Part of what my selfishness bred was:
    jealousy (it's lousy alright)
    bitterness
    arrogance
    negativity
    bossiness
    insistence on my own way
    etc
    etc.
    etc.

Yup. There's lots to overcome. But I know that in Christ I'll always have the victory! Hallelujah!

Hope your time inside the Mammoth was fun. :)
Have a lovely start to the week!
I'm praying for you, Mama Judy.

  3. Ooo ... God's grace! An amazing gift. An amazing lesson. God has been showing me more of Himself through His grace lately ... wow!

And Philippians 1:6 is one of my all-time favorite verses in scripture. What a promise! He's gonna finish that work He started in us! He said so! And He never fails! Doesn't that just get you super excited!? .... Me too! :D

  4. "Mom has fall-ish meals cooking in the oven, always smelling good. The candles are lit, and It's time for dinner!"

That is what your 3rd son wrote about his day.

He mentioned a clean and cozy house, too.

Are you the perfect housewife or what?

Hand-made meals...clean house....cozy house...candles....the whole kit and caboodle. That's what homemaking is all about! Making the house a "home", a comfortable and warm nest. That's your gift to your family. Trust me--they appreciate it more than they say!

    Three cheers for Mama Judy!

    Hugs,
    Alex

  5. Spiritual transformation is one of my favorite subjects. God has delivered me from many things as well. I'd love to read about each of those in more detail if you ever care to share! :)
