Hearts of Stone

I just wanted to show you some of the rocks my rock collection. These are all "God made", rather than man-made rocks. I started this collection several years ago as I strolled along the shore of Lake Michigan. I found several heart shaped rocks that day and thus began my obsession with heart rocks. Now I look for them everywhere I go and I seem to find them everywhere. My kids, my husband, and my brother have now added to the collection, finding these heart shaped rocks when they're fishing, hiking, hunting or backpacking. A friend of mine even found several hearts made from coral when she visited the ocean.

I will give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit in them; I will remove from them their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh.
Ezekiel 11:19

My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength of my heart
and my portion forever.
Psalm 73:26

May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word.
2 Thessalonians 2:16-17

As has just been said:
"Today, if you hear his voice,
do not harden your hearts
as you did in the rebellion."
Hebrews 3:15

Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.'
Matthew 22:37

They asked each other, "Were not our hearts burning within us while He talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?"
Luke 24:32

And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Phil. 4:7

For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
Matt. 6:21

  1. Those are VERY cool! My daughter loves the Barbie and the Diamond Castle movie, which opens with the two girls finding matching heart stones in the river...she would be so excited if she found a pair!

The very first thing GG ever gave me was a little heart stone he mounted on silver wire for a ring.

  4. Just this morning I was walking on the beach and meditating on how the LORD shows His marvelous goodness to me personally in some of the smallest ways; in a manner that only He would know. I believe your heart collection could somehow fall into one of those ways.

The scriptures revealed the eternal truths, however.

Thank you for sharing your collection. It did my "heart" good!
